Style Built on Trust
At Her Golf Outfit, we believe great style is built on confidence, authenticity, and trust. These editorial guidelines reflect our commitment to honest reviews, inclusive representation, and genuine joy in every outfit guide we share.

Our Mission
“To empower women golfers of every age, size, and skill level with trustworthy, joyful, and actionable style guidance — making golf fashion accessible, inclusive, and effortlessly her own.”
Every outfit guide, brand review, and lookbook we create is rooted in four core values: confidence, inclusivity, honesty, and effortless style.
— Section II —
Core Editorial Principles
The nine principles that guide every piece of content we publish.
I.
Accuracy & Fact‑Checking
Every outfit feature, brand review, and styling tip is researched, fact‑checked, and tested. Sizing, fit, and product details are verified directly with the brand or through firsthand experience.
II.
Editorial Independence
We never accept payment for positive reviews. Gifted products do not guarantee coverage, and our editorial team operates independently from advertising and affiliate partnerships.
III.
Transparency
Sponsored posts are clearly labeled “Partnered Content” or #ad. Affiliate links are disclosed at the top of every article. Gifted items are marked “Gifted.”
IV.
Privacy & Sensitivity
Reader‑submitted photos and stories are only shared with explicit consent. We avoid body shaming, comparison culture, and sensationalism in all content.
V.
Diversity & Inclusivity
We feature women of every body type, age, ethnicity, and budget. Imagery reflects real bodies — not retouched or unattainable standards. Size‑inclusive brands are prioritized.
VI.
Community Engagement
Comments are moderated to maintain a kind, supportive space. We aim to respond to reader emails and DMs within 48 hours and welcome constructive feedback.
VII.
Social Media Ethics
Personal opinions of editors are clearly labeled (e.g., “Ashley’s Take”). Viral trends and unverified claims are fact‑checked before sharing on Instagram, TikTok, or Pinterest.
VIII.
Legal Compliance
We adhere to FTC guidelines on disclosures, copyright laws, and data privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA. All photographers and brands are properly credited.
IX.
Reader‑First Approach
Every outfit guide is created with our readers in mind — no filler content, no inflated word counts, just genuinely useful style guidance you can actually wear.
— Section III —
Our Editorial Process
From outfit ideation to publication — the four steps that ensure every post meets our standards.
Step One
Brainstorming & Research
Content ideas are sourced from reader questions, seasonal trends, country club dress codes, and emerging brands. Editor‑in‑Chief Ashley and Senior Style Editor Jenna collaborate to ensure each topic serves a real reader need.
Step Two
Drafting & Styling
Outfits are personally styled, photographed, or hand‑curated by our team. Brand reviews are based on firsthand experience whenever possible. Sources, sizing notes, and product details are documented during drafting.
Step Three
Two‑Step Review
Every article goes through fact‑checking (verifying sizing, prices, dress code rules, and product availability) followed by a tone review (ensuring our content feels warm, inclusive, and on‑brand).
Step Four
Publication & Maintenance
Once published, articles are regularly audited (every 6–12 months) to update outdated product links, refresh seasonal recommendations, and ensure ongoing accuracy.
— Section IV —
Corrections Policy
We’re committed to fixing mistakes promptly and transparently. Here is exactly how we handle them.
I.
Identifying Errors
Readers can report errors via email, comments, or our contact form. We also conduct internal audits of older content to flag outdated sizing info or discontinued products.
II.
Types of Corrections
Minor: typos and broken links are fixed silently. Substantive: incorrect prices, sizing, or styling claims receive a dated correction note.
III.
Correction Notice
Notes appear at the end of articles with a date and brief explanation — for example, “Updated March 2026: revised dress code guidance to reflect current PGA standards.”
IV.
Retractions & Timeline
Substantive corrections are made within 48 hours of verification. Content found to be misleading or harmful is retracted with a clear notice and apology.

Our AI Use Policy
AI tools support — but never replace — our team’s expertise and creativity.
Principle I
Purpose of AI Use
We may use AI tools for tasks like SEO research, trend forecasting, brainstorming headlines, and grammar editing. However, the heart of our content — outfit curation, styling intuition, and personal recommendations — always comes from our human editors.
Principle II
Ethical Standards
We do not publish fully AI‑generated articles. AI‑generated imagery is never used to portray fake models or unrealistic body standards. Real women, real outfits, real photography always come first.
Principle III
Transparency & Disclosure
When AI meaningfully contributes to content (e.g., “We used AI to identify this season’s color trends, then styled by Jenna”), we disclose it clearly. AI‑enhanced graphics or mood boards are noted as such.
Principle IV
Bias Mitigation
AI‑generated suggestions are audited by our editors for inclusivity, ensuring we represent women of all sizes, ages, and backgrounds — not just the defaults that algorithms tend to favor.
Principle V
Human Oversight
No AI‑generated content is ever published without human review and editing. Ashley and Jenna personally approve every article, ensuring it meets our voice, accuracy, and inclusivity standards.
— Section VI —
Review & Revision
These Editorial Guidelines are reviewed annually by our editorial team to reflect evolving industry standards, reader feedback, and best practices in fashion publishing. Major revisions are shared with our community by email and a notice on our blog.
